Ferrari celebrated its 70th anniversary at the Goodwood Festival of Speed with 70 historic, iconic and championship-winning Ferrari cars thrilling crowds with a special parade of cars tackling the famed hillclimb circuit, before coming together on the Lawn of Goodwood House to create a unique and spectacular ‘Ferrari Moment’.
The brand new Mahindra Racing Formula E car, which will not hit the tracks until the start of season four in December, will make its public, dynamic debut at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed (June 29-July 2).
The UK premiere of the BMW Concept 8 Series will be at the 2017 Goodwood Festival of Speed. Unveiled at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the concept serves as a taster for the new BMW 8 Series Coupé which launches in 2018. Also seen in the UK for the first time will be new BMW M4 CS, which will take to the hill for the supercar hillclimb, whilst the Gordon Murray-designed Brabham-BMW BT52 and the Le Mans-winning BMW V12 LMR will steer their way up Goodwood’s famous 1.16-mile course.
ROLLS-ROYCE CELEBRATES SUCCESSFUL 2015 GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED
Rolls-Royce celebrated a successful Goodwood Festival of Speed over the weekend.
Sebastien Loeb added victory at the Goodwood Festival of Speed shoot-out to his enormous trophy cabinet with a stirring run during Sunday afternoon’s against-the-clock timed run.
The nine-time World Rally Champion, who now races for Citroen in the World Touring Car Championship, had qualified second fastest in the fearsome Peugeot 208 T16 Pikes Peak car, and shaved almost a second from his Saturday time to take the top spot when it counted most in a time of 44.60 seconds.
Bentley’s new Continental GT3 race car is to spearhead the famous British marque’s presence at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, taking place from 12th-14th July in Sussex, England. With a busy schedule of development work ahead of it before marking Bentley’s return to the racetrack later this year, the new Continental GT3 makes its global debut in front of the crowds at Goodwood on Friday 12th July. Demonstrating the performance potential that lies embedded in the DNA of every Continental GT, the GT3 is the most extreme form of the iconic Grand Tourer ever.
Jaguar will bring its illustrious past and exciting future together in dramatic fashion at Goodwood Festival of Speed (11-14 July 2013). In addition to entering some of the brand's most important heritage vehicles for the Goodwood Hill climb, Jaguar will also debut three new "R" vehicles - with a combined power output of 1650 PS - to the UK public and unveil an exciting new design study based on the Jaguar F-TYPE convertible sports car. All will be available to view up close in the Festival of Speed Supercar Paddock.
